Performance Space
The production requires a substantial performance area suitable for an 11-person multidisciplinary cast, with space for aerial, dance, acrobatics, roller-skating, circus and flow arts. The original production used traverse staging, with the audience seated on two opposing sides of a central performance area. Future productions can be adapted to suit different venue layouts and available performance spaces.
Aerial and Rigging
The show includes aerial performance and requires a certified aerial rigging point. Existing venue rigging can be used provided it meets the required safety and load requirements for the aerial apparatus and performance.
Where venue rigging is not available, Euphoric Flow can provide its own freestanding aerial rig. The freestanding rig is approximately 5.8 metres high with a 4 × 5 metre footprint.
Aerial performances require suitable overhead clearance, space around the apparatus and appropriate safety arrangements. The aerial setup will depend on the selected acts and venue.
Roller-Skating
The show includes roller-skating and requires a smooth, level and suitable performance surface. The skating component can be adapted according to the flooring and available performance space within the venue.
Lighting
The production uses theatrical lighting throughout the show to support the different scenes, performances and Christmas themes. Some sections also use LED props and are most effective when the lighting is dimmed.
Sound
A suitable sound system is required for the show's music, singing and hosted sections. Microphones are required for singers and hosts, with final requirements depending on the cast and production setup.
Entrances and Staging
The original production incorporated multiple performer entrances from both sides of the traverse performance area, as well as aerial performance and an additional raised performance area. Future productions can adapt these entrances and performance areas to suit the layout of the venue.
Setup and Pack Down
Setup and pack down requirements depend on the venue, cast size, aerial setup, lighting and staging configuration. Additional time will be required if Euphoric Flow's freestanding aerial rig needs to be installed or removed.
Technical Rehearsal
A technical rehearsal is required for the full production to coordinate aerial, lighting, sound, entrances, staging and the different performance areas. . Euphoric Flow works with the relevant event and venue personnel to confirm rehearsal scheduling and venue access requirements during production planning.
