Booking and quotes
How much does it cost to book a performer?
Every quote is tailored. Prices start from $350, and depend on the type of booking (such as fire, a feature show or a mermaid), the act, the number of performers, the show length or number of sets, any chosen extras, venue requirements and location.
Tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and budget when you enquire and we will recommend an option to suit.
What does my quote confirm?
Our performers bring different skills, props and styles. We recommend the artist and act to suit your event, and confirm the performer, props, costumes and any optional extras in your quote.
Are all performers, props and acts always available?
Our performers each bring their own skills, disciplines and equipment, and not every performer offers every prop or act. Specific performers, disciplines, acts, props and entertainment options are subject to performer and equipment availability on your date.
For example, fire breathing and fire eating can only be offered when a performer who does them is available. We confirm exactly what is included in your quote.
Do you travel interstate or overseas?
Euphoric Flow performers are based across Queensland and Northern NSW. Bookings interstate and overseas are available where travel and accommodation are included. Past seasons include Adelaide Fringe and Roots Women’s Embodiment Festival in Sydney.
Travel costs are included or itemised in your quote as agreed.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. All our performers hold public liability insurance for the acts they perform, most through Duck for Cover, the insurance group for Australian entertainers. Rachel’s own cover is $30 million public liability, and includes fire, aerial, acrobatics, stilt walking, bubbles, hula hoop, poi, roller skating, etc.
A certificate of currency can be supplied for your booking, and we can provide what your venue or council asks for.
Do your performers hold a Blue Card?
Yes, performers hold a Blue Card. If your event needs every performer to hold one, let us know.
How do deposits and payments work?
A deposit must be paid to confirm the booking.
The remaining balance is payable by bank transfer no later than 7 days before the event. Payment details are provided with an invoice once the booking is confirmed.
What happens if a booking is cancelled or changed?
Cancellation of the booking by the event organiser for any reason will forfeit the deposit. If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the event, 50% of the remaining balance will be payable. If the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the event, 100% of the remaining balance will be payable.
Cancellation by the performer due to unforeseen circumstances will result in a full refund of any payments made, or a suitable replacement performer will be offered where possible.
If you need to change the date, time or details of your booking, let us know as early as possible. Changes depend on performer availability.
Choosing your entertainment
What is the difference between a feature show and roving sets?
A feature show is a choreographed performance set to music, usually about 10–15 minutes, performed at an agreed time.
Roving sets are freestyle: performers move through your event in shorter sets with breaks in between, entertaining and interacting with guests as they go.
How long do roving sets go for?
Roving entertainment is booked for a length of time, such as two or three hours, and performed in sets with breaks in between, for example 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off, or 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. Tell us how long you would like entertainment for and we will suggest a set pattern to suit the act.
How long do giant bubble sets go for?
Giant bubble sets usually run for 30 to 40 minutes on, then 20 to 30 minutes off.
Bubble poi can be included in giant bubble sets. A bubble poi set runs for about 15 minutes and the rest of the set can be giant bubbles, or the two can be alternated.
Do you tailor the entertainment to the audience?
Yes. Let us know whether your event is family friendly / all ages, or adults only. This helps us choose suitable costumes, characters, music and performance styles.
An adults only event does not automatically mean adult themed or sexualised entertainment.
What is a photo moment?
Guests meet a character and have their photo taken, adding a memorable interaction to the event.
Can performers welcome guests as they arrive?
Yes. Roving performers and photo moments work well at the entrance as guests arrive (winged characters are a favourite, for example), then move through the event or finish with a feature show.
What is the difference between silks, lyra and silk-lyra?
Silks are long suspended fabrics. Lyra is an aerial hoop. Silk-lyra combines fabric and hoop.
What if my venue does not allow fire?
LED entertainment is an option for venues where flames are not permitted. It avoids open flames but still needs suitable space for the selected props.
Can LED props show our logo?
Compatible programmable props can display a company logo, words or suitable graphics for an additional programming fee. We confirm the artwork and equipment before promising a particular effect.
Can you match costumes and music to our theme?
Yes. Performances are choreographed to music and can be themed and costumed to suit your event.
Can I book one of your original shows?
Yes. Our original productions are developed for festivals, large events and touring, with flexible formats to suit different venues and audiences. Each show page lists its performance options, with a Technical Rider to share with your venue.
Can I see the technical requirements for a show?
Yes. Each show page has a Technical Rider that opens in a new tab, with the stage plot, space, rigging, fire, lighting and sound details. You can save it as a PDF to share with your venue.
Fire and safety
Who looks after fire safety?
All fire bookings include a dedicated fire safety person arranged by Euphoric Flow.
Their fee is an additional cost and is shown separately in your quote.
What does my venue need for a fire performance?
We need to confirm permission for fire, suitable clear space, distance from guests and nearby materials (decorations, fabrics, trees, etc.), and any venue restrictions.
We also discuss sound, the performance schedule, a preparation area and access before confirming the act.
Can fire be performed indoors?
It depends on the venue. Not every fire prop suits every indoor venue, so we confirm the venue’s permission, space and restrictions and recommend props to suit. LED entertainment is an alternative where flames are not permitted.
Can you perform on a total fire ban day?
Open flame cannot be used during a total fire ban. LED entertainment or daytime acts are alternatives, and some programmable LED props can show a flame-style design.
What about the weather at an outdoor event?
Weather and site conditions affect outdoor performances, so we talk them through with you before confirming the act.
What happens in rain, wind or unsafe weather?
Rain, strong wind or other unsafe weather can affect outdoor performances, particularly fire and giant bubbles. Performances go ahead only when it is safe, and we will talk through options with you, such as a sheltered area, a different act, etc.
Is a giant bubble performance safe?
Our bubble performers know the safety steps to take. The bubble mixture makes the ground slippery, so grass is preferred. Concrete is possible, but the area around the bubbles will become slippery, so the performer keeps roving and changing position, and reminds children to step back and watch their footing.
As with any bubble or soap mixture, it can get into someone’s eyes if a bubble pops close to their face. Performers remind children and parents about this, and ask that bubbles are popped with hands only, with nothing thrown or swung at them (sticks, hats, shoes, etc.), so no one is hit by accident.
Does the wind affect giant bubbles?
Yes. A light breeze is best. In strong wind the giant bubbles break into lots of small bubbles, and with no wind they still work, just not as well.
Venue and the day
What space and rigging does an aerial act need?
Aerialists perform from a fixed aerial point. We discuss your venue’s rigging, or our portable 5.8-metre aerial rig if venue rigging is unavailable.
As a guide, allow a ceiling height of at least 6 metres and a performance area of about 6 × 6 metres. We confirm what is possible for your act and venue.
How much space does a feature show need?
As a guide, about 4 × 4 metres of clear space for a solo feature show, and around 6 × 6 metres for groups or larger props. Aerial acts also need at least 6 metres of clear height, and fire needs a safe distance from guests. Roving sets simply need room to move through your guest areas. We confirm what suits your act and venue before the booking.
What do performers need on the day?
We confirm arrival and setup time, access, parking, a secure private green room or changing area, and an onsite contact.
We also agree who provides sound and music playback, when the performance happens and how it fits around your other activities.
Do you provide a mermaid tank?
If your venue does not already have a suitable pool or tank, we can provide a mermaid tank at an additional cost.
A tank needs access, filling and emptying, and a floor that can take its weight, so we confirm these with you before booking.
When will the performers arrive?
Performers usually arrive 30 minutes to an hour before their start time to set up and prepare. We confirm the arrival time with you before the event.
How long does setup take?
For a show, allow a minimum of about 20 minutes for setup, ideally 30, plus extra time if our freestanding aerial rig is being installed.
Can the performance be photographed or filmed?
Yes. Guests are welcome to take photos and videos. If you have a photographer or videographer booked, let us know so we can plan access and the best moments to capture.
We love seeing photos and videos from our events. If you are happy to share them with us afterwards, please send them through or let us know who took them.
Workshops and lessons
Do I need any experience for a workshop?
No. Whether you are completely new to circus or looking to develop an existing skill, our workshops are welcoming, fun and adapted to your level. Aerial workshops are suitable for complete beginners.
Can you run a workshop for a private group?
Yes. Sessions are available for individuals, small groups and private events. Workshops can also be held at a studio or a festival, or run as classes. Tell us your group size, location and preferred discipline when you enquire.
